In 2013, Hannes Ogris founded Ogris logistics GmbH, a modern logistics company with roots in Kärnten. Our service range currently goes from logistics and forwarding services to national and international transports to consulting for logistics and warehousing.
1997 was a fateful ear for the Ogris family and the company. Johann Ogris died in a forestry work accident. His son Hannes Ogris then took over GmbH as sole manager and shareholder and has controlled the family-owned company since.
In 1985, Hannes Ogris, the founder’s son, entered his parents’ company. In the next few years, the company’s building was converted and expanded several times to meet the customers’ increased demands. In addition to transport services, logistics and forwarding services were in increasing demand as well. The storage capacity was expanded to 700 pallet spaces. Finally, in 1993, Johann Ogris Int. Transport- und Speditions-GmbH with Johann Ogris as managing director. Hannes Ogris registered his forwarding business that same year.
The Durchlaßstraße premises were growing narrow in 1977 already, and Johann Ogris once again went looking for a larger area, eventually purchasing the property in Mageregger Straße 69, where our company is still headquartered. Construction of the new company building commenced in 1978 and took three years to completion. The entire operation was relocated to Mageregger Straße in 1981.
In 1961, Johann Ogris founded the transport company as a single company in St. Margareten in Rosental. The company flourished. As early as in 1965, it went looking for business premises in Klagenfurt, and found them in the Klagenfurter Durchlaßstraße. One year later, the entire company, including its fleet, moved to the new building.
